Congratulations to Tom Robson. Tom's vintage
1923 Ford Model T one ton truck was picked for the "BEST ON GRASS" award sponsored by Grass Pad at the annual Art
of the Car Concours held at the Kansas City Art Institute on June 27, 2009.
Tom
has owned this truck for 50 years and didn't restore it till about 10 years ago. Average speed on a Model T one ton was 15
miles per hour out pacing the horse and wagon teams that could only go 15 miles a day. Tom has be able to locate and install
an overdrive and can reach a speed of about 35 mph. Tom says, "it's alot more fun to drive at that speed than 15
mph."
